This was another Quentin Tarantino masterpiece (with a sequel) that had us all in awe of its leading lady, Uma Thurman, who was seeking revenge on a guy named ‘Bill’ for good reason! It was harsh, brutal, grotesque and so it was everything that you would expect from Tarantino and more! In fact, some of these behind-the-scenes facts about this movie are just as amazing as the movie itself. It’ll make you want to check it out again even after all of these years.
1. Tarantino and Uma both came up with this plot idea while they were working together on ‘Pulp Fiction’ back in 1994.
When it was time to get started ten years later, Uma Thurman was pregnant but Quentin waited for her because he knew that she was perfect for the part.
2. 450 gallons of fake blood was used to film.
That doesn’t surprise me. It was pretty bloody!
3. ‘Kill Bill’ and the sequel ‘Kill Bill: Vol. 2’ were Quentin’s first movies in which the violence was in your face.
There was nothing left to the imagination
4. This showdown scene between The Bride (Uma) and Lucy Lui’s O-Ren Ishii played for 20 minutes.
However, it took eight weeks to shoot.
